Moving to New Home

Whenever you move to a new locale, it is a chance to get a fresh start. You may not know anyone. While this could be worrisome in the beginning, it's also a chance to recreate who you are. You can explore all the awesome things to do in Tulsa, find new social connections, and focus on becoming a better version of you.

Get Organized

Once you box up all of your things to move to Tulsa, you truly get to start from square one in your new residence. This is an opportunity to get things in order once and for all as you start to unpack all the cartons.

If you have always pondered a new layout in your family room or bedroom, now is the time. You can change up the colors, the layout, and even remove the things that you no longer need before you put them away. Remember, it's definitely better to get rid of them prior to moving them – but this is a shot to get organized.

Create "Me" Space

As you unpack and maneuver your items around in your new home in Tulsa, make sure that you arrange an area just for you. This can be your cozy spot when you have had a crazy day. No matter if it is a "man cave" or a book nook in the family room, design an area that you will love spending time in.

Do Something New

Most people have things that we have always wanted to accomplish. Perhaps you have always wanted to audition for the town’s big band or enroll in dancing lessons. Once you are in your new city, why not try it. Locate a studio or class that will assist you with the training. It's a chance to learn something fun and meet some new people while you are at it.

Curb Bad Habits

You could have a bad habit or two that you are not proud of. It might be that you do not clean your toilet often enough or that you smoked at your old house. Regardless what it is that you need to modify, now is the time to do it. You are in a new house, which allows you to start from scratch. If you do not want to fall into the same habits, make the choice to change. You may also want to leave yourself notes periodically so that you remember why you are ditching those habits.

Meet the Neighbors

You might or might not know all the neighbors in your current area. After you move, make sure that you put in the effort to meet your neighbors. Although some neighbors may make the first move to welcome you to the neighborhood, it’s ok for you to take the initiative. Meeting those who live next to you can be a great safety feature. You don't have to be besties but it can be beneficial to have someone who will look out for your home when you aren't there and vice versa.

Don’t forget that moving to Tulsa is only as worrisome as you make it out to be. If you know that you are relocating to a new town with the ambition for a new beginning, it can be a positive boost. You may be excited to start a new part of your life in Tulsa. Create a to-do list for your home and for yourself so that you remember all of the things that you want to accomplish. Once you have officially settled in, you should then commence on that list.
